Ondjiva – A total of 12 groups participated in the second Gospel Music Festival of Cunene province held on Saturday, 21 years after.
The event, which had no dispute character, in this edition, served to create an interchange among the groups and encourage the production and consumption of gospel music.
On the occasion, the provincial director of the Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports, Marcelino dos Santos, highlighted the importance of this style of music to rescue moral and civic values and moralization of the society.
The official added that the message of gospel music positively influences the mind and the spiritual sense of the individual, for a positional and more correct behavior.
The provincial government is concerned about the churches, hence the need to continue promoting similar actions to further promote Christian music, Santos said.
