Luanda - Angolan singers Yola Semedo, Ana Joyce, Nelo de Carvalho and Portuguese Fado singers Sara Correia, Katia Guerreiro, Marco Rodrigues and António Pinto Basto will provide musical moments in the Province of Luanda on Friday (04), as part of the 7th edition of the Caixa Fado Festival, ANGOP learned on Monday.
For João Plácido Pires, in charge of coordinating the festival, expectations are high, both in terms of the artists' performance and the public's participationl.
He said that the Caixa Fado Festival is a moment of musical celebration and an important time for the growth and development of music, as well as musical ties between artists and cultures.
"This mix of sounds and this embrace of cultures provides us with a unique and memorable experience, reinforcing the role of the Caixa Fado Festival as an important engine for producing cultural exchange", he stated.
It aims to provide moments of intense connection between Portuguese fado music style and Angolan music, reaffirming itself as an iconic event for the promotion and celebration of cultural and musical diversity.
However, more than a musical show, Caixa Fado is considered a point of artistic dialogue that unites two continents, promising to transport spectators to unique emotional spaces and a unique experience.
