Luanda- The 3rd edition of the National Festival of Culture (FENACULT’2022) – Special Centenary of the first President of Angola, Agostinho Neto, is scheduled for October 28 – November 30 this year.
The organiser of the event, Pedro Chissingue, who confirmed this to TVZimbo television, spoke of the re-edition of some works by Agostinho Neto, such as "Sagrada Esperança" and "Renúncia Impossível".
The event will also include a literary contest called "100 years of António Agostinho Neto" and "Cantar Neto”.
"The FENACULT-Special Centenary, in addition to honouring the figure of the Greater Poet, it will serve as a mechanism for the exaltation, appreciation and reaffirmation of the Angolan cultural identity.
According to the source, the programme features a pilgrimage to Village of Caxicane, a conference on the vision of Agostinho Neto in the training of Angolan staff and the role of the Agostinho Neto University (UAN) in training of Angolan senior staff.
António Agostinho Neto was born on September 17, 1922, in Kaxicane, Icolo e Bengo and died on September 10, 1979.
