Ramiros - Forty-seven paintings are on display in the exhibition named “Autism without a mask”, which opened on Saturday, in Luanda Province.
The paintings, owned by the social platform Kuena, feature personalities linked to politics, culture, among other sectors, with emphasis on the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, who was present at the event.
The Angolan minister of Transport, Ricardo Abreu, the visual artist António Tomás Ana (Etona), the visual artist Álvaro Maciera and the musician Matias Damásio are also among those portrayed in the paintings on display.
According to Marcos Weyll, one of the event's promoters, the exhibition aims to stimulate greater connection between mothers and children with autism, through painting, highlighting that children’s feelings and emotions can be reflected on “the mother's own face”, as if it were a blank canvas.
The official informed that the photography technique was used to compose the paintings.
A sample is curated by Grazi Gadia and includes photographs by Márcio Amaral.
The collection will also be on display in other places, such as shopping malls and other shopping centers.
The exhibition taking place at the Isabel Fançony gallery, also served as a presentation of Kuena, a social platform that encompasses transformative projects in Angola, focusing on social inclusion, sustainability and respect for the environment.
The minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, former Miss Universe Leila Lopes, musician Matias Damásio and artists Álvaro Maciera and António Tomás Ana (Etona), attended the event.
The activity was organized by the GEMCORP company, which reinforced its commitment to contributing to the country's development through the promotion of initiatives that generate greater progress and social inclusion.
