Luanda - Angolan writer Nituecheni Africano won on January 26 the 5th edition of the Paris International Book Fair for Literature in Portuguese 2024/2025, held in France with the book "O Emigrante da Web suas Tolices".
With this achievement, the author, who has also been considered one of the best contemporary writers in Africa for the last two years, will receive a prize worth 11,000 US dollars, a trophy and a medal on March 17, during the inauguration of the largest literary fair in Lile (France), ANGOP has learned.
Commenting on the award, jury member Raul Freitas described the author as one of the most revelatory writers in the Portuguese language.
He also highlighted the author for his romantic theatrical works, essays and novels, with his literary work "O Emigrante da Web e Suas Tolices", a book that raises interesting issues such as the consequences of using social networks, their advantages and disadvantages.
Nituecheni Africano was born on September 12, 1990 in Angola, in the central province of Huambo. He has a degree in Computer Engineering and Information Technology, Auditing and Finance.
In addition to this award, the writer has already received the Latin American WorldBook Award, organized by Argentina, in 2022, the best African writer revelation in the 25th edition of the Fox USA Award 2024, with his literary work "The prisoner, the beginning is the end of an injustice".
