Lubango - The municipal director of Education of Cuvango in Huíla Province, Feliciano Ndala, on Wednesday defended greater dissemination of cultural aspects and tourism, with a view to encouraging the artistic class.
Feliciano Ndala was speaking on behalf of the municipal administrator of Cuvango, Luís Paulo Ndala, at the National Culture Day celebration ceremony marked on January 8, which took place under the motto "Preserving and Valuing the Achievements, Building a Better Future".
To him, the more the cultural and tourism potential of the region is publicized, detailing its history, habits and customs, the more it will be better known and will be able to generate income and encourage artists’ own income.
He added that to achieve success in this aspect, communities need to promote more cultural values with the aim of attracting investors and exploring tourism in the region.
The municipality of Cuvango is 9,680 square kilometers in size and is 336 kilometers east of the capital city of Lubango, Huíla. It has an estimated population of 106,421 people.
