Luanda – Angolan Inácio Miguel signed on Wednesday, a three-year contract with South Africa's Kaizer Chiefs, according to the club's official facebook page.
The 28-year-old centre-back player represented Petro de Luanda for two seasons (2022-2023 and 2023-2024) in which he won five titles, namely two National Championships (Girabola), two Angolan Cups and one Super Cup.
The information about his connection to the South African club was also published on Petro de Luanda's facebook page.
The player has already played for the National Team, highlighting his presence at African Championship (AFCON 2024) held in Côte d'Ivoire.
Throughout his career, he represented Portuguese clubs such as Ericeirense (2005-2006 and 2008-2009), Mafra (2009-2010 and 2012-2013), Gil Vicente (2013-2014), Vila Real (2014-2015), Felgueiras (2015-2016), Sporting Braga (2016-2017 and 2018-2019), the Italian FC Universitatea Cluj (2019-2020 and 2020-2021) and FK Liepāja from Latvia (2022).
This is the third signing, this year, of a Petro de Luanda athlete for a South African club.
The 29-year-old midfielder, Carlos do Carmo “Carlinhos”, now represents Cape Town, following a two-season agreement with the Cape Town team, while the striker David Miguel Vieira also known as “Gilberto”, aged 23, joined Orlando Pirates for three seasons. IN/MC/MRA/DOJ
