Luanda – The International Documentary Film Festival (DOC Luanda) will take place between the 2nd and 7th April, at Camões - Portuguese Cultural Centre in Luanda.
Aimed at showing unpublished documental cinema in Angola, the event will have a pedagogical background and will serve to encourage cultural exchange, establish a contemporary vision of the world and Angola through cinema and its history, thus also contributing to the future of the Angolan cinema scene.
This is an annual event, organized by Camões Institute –Portuguese Cultural Centre - in partnership with Mukixe and Criacom audio visual companies.
The programme, which will begin with the screening of the first film of the international competition, also includes a Book and DVD Fair and an exhibition on the Angolan Cinema, as well as a roundtable on “Cinema in Angola”.
Meanwhile, a master class on Telling Stories through Editing and a concert by Banda Kosmik are also planned.
