Luanda - The musicians Calabeto, Robertinho, Augusto Chacaia and Fiel Didi will open the 2023 season of the cultural programme, Muzongue da Tradição, on 12 March.
According to Estêvão Costa, who is in charge of the cultural centre, has told ANGOP that the musicians will be backed by Maravilha band.
Estêvão Costa said that the house is trying to start the year with some of the best in Angolan music, giving the users of the space the opportunity to remember songs that have marked and still mark the Angolan cultural scene.
Muzongue da Tradição is a programme that began in February 2007 with the aim of promoting, publicising and valuing Angolan music.
The Os Jovens do Prenda Band and the singers Zecax, Dom Caetano and Proletário were the first guests. The programme takes place monthly on the first Sunday of each month.
The event is part of the programme schedule of the Kilamba Recreational and Cultural Centre, formerly Maria das Escrequenhas, which also has two other programmes, namely "Farrar ao Antigamente" and "Show à Sexta-Feira".
