Cacuaco - Messages for greater investment in the agriculture and fishing sectors marked the street carnival parades on Tuesday in the municipality of Cacuaco, in Luanda.
These areas are the 'strong points' of the economic development of Cacuaco, which has agricultural potential in the commune of Funda, considered the green belt of the country's capital.
In their songs, the competitors called for more attention to public safety, health, transport, education and roads.
To the rhythm of the semba dance, the urban districts of Sequele, Cacuaco-sede, Kikolo, Mulenvos de Baixo and the commune of Funda competed in the biggest cultural festival.
The entertainment groups from the municipal administration, schools, universities and zungueiras also paraded.
Although it is considered a street parade, as it is competitive, the organization will reward the winner with two and a half million kwanzas. The second-place winner will have one million and five hundred and the third one one million kwanzas.
For the local director of Culture and Tourism, Henriques Neves, it is essential to rescue the 'mystique of playing carnival' in the municipality.
Cacuaco has an estimated population of 1,237,477 inhabitants and a territorial area of 571 square kilometers. COF/SEC/OHA/DOJ
