Dundo - Around thirty carnival groups (children and adults), representing the ten municipalities in the province of Lunda-Norte, are confirmed for the provincial parade of 2024 edition.
The information was provided Tuesday, in Dundo, by the director of the Provincial Office of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports in Lunda-Norte, José Pinto, highlighting that the provincial parade is scheduled for the 13th of this month on Avenida Dr. Agostinho Neto.
He said that each municipality will approve four representatives (two children and an equal number of adults), adding that municipal parades have been taking place since Monday.
Regarding prizes and clothing, José Pinto assured that, despite the financial constraints at this time, the necessary conditions are being created to guarantee encouragement to the first, second and third classified in both classes.
He reiterated that this year's Carnival will be more interactive and educational, showing the reality of the elements that make up the culture of the Lunda Cokwe people.
He called on groups to focus on innovation, quality in displays, more expressive choreography, allegories and songs that convey positive messages. JVL/HD/DOJ
