Luanda - Angolan singer Selda on Friday, in Luanda lamented the low participation of women in the jazz music style.
According to the singer, little adherence negatively influences the promotion, enrichment and quality of the music style.
She was speaking on the sidelines of her “Ngola Symphonic Concert”, promoted by Palácio de Ferro cultural space.
Selda highlighted that Jazz has several fusions, resulting from the influence of other musical styles, such as Semba and Massemba.
The owner of the hit song named "Morena de Cá", said that she is continuing to promote her music disc album, released in 2023.
During the show which entertained more than two hundred people, the singer who has been in the music market for 20 years was accompanied by the Maria Carolina Orchestra,
The artist sang songs such as "Palavras doce", "Tom Perfect", "Aquela Rua", "Morena de cá", among others from her repertoire.
Using different instruments, the Maria Carolina Orchestra, made up of 30 young people, founded in 2014, in the municipality of Libolo, province of Cuanza Sul, played for an hour.
