Cabinda - The Regional Museum of Cabinda is currently in need of restoration works to better accommodate its collection, the institution's director, Maria Imaculada Luemba Dias, has said.
Speaking at the commemorations of May 18 International Museum Day and the 35th anniversary of the Regional Museum of Cabinda, Maria Imaculada Luemba Dias said that the institution presents degradation in the upper part (ceiling).
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, which limited the exercise of activities, Maria Dias said there is a plan being outlined to overcome these issues, adding that not everything is in condition and that there are perspectives for the gathering of static pieces found in some communes.
The Cabinda Museum has a collection of more than 400 pieces obtained through donations, purchases and exchange or confiscation.
