Luanda - "Hotel Komarca-Ala Feminina" (Komarca Hotel – Women's Section) is the title of the theater play by Bucos productions, which premieres on November 3rd this year, at the Belas Conference Centre, in Luanda, the producer Sophia Buco announced Tuesday.
The play will be performed by a cast of six (6) actresses, namely Lesliana Pereira, Efigênia Muquele, Zoé Silva, Indira Contreiras, Evanilde Ferreira and Timira dos Santos, who will play the role of the prisoners.
According to the producer, the theatre play, which is based on real facts as well as on interviews carried out with some inmates of the Viana Prison District, portrays the experience of six female inmates, convicted of committing crimes of passion and international drugs trafficking.
She added that the objective of the play is to raise awareness in society about the reality of women prisoners and promote values about solidarity and citizenship.
“Above all, we want our work to be recognized and seen by thousands of women in the country. We did this research for the prisoners and we are going to present the work, so that they are always aware of the signs of their own lives, which can be avoided", she emphasized.
Bucos Productions which belongs to cultural content producer Shopia Buco, has been on the national market for 8 years and has in its repertoire of theater plays the works "Vaginal Monologues", "Rosa e São Espinhos", "O Clube da Carlota", "A estória que marcou o sul", "Esquadrão Kamy", "Filhas da herança", "É Luanda não há sistema" and "Hotel Komarca".
