Luanda - An exhibition portraying traces of Angolan culture took place Saturday in the Swiss Confederation, with an emphasis on handicrafts and gastronomy.
According to a note from the diplomatic mission in Switzerland that ANGOP had access Sunday, Angola was at the event as part of the Bern International School Day celebrations.
The exhibition included, among other elements that portray national culture, photographs of the country's main tourist destinations.
To the Angolan ambassador to Switzerland, Filomena Delgado, “it had been possible to promote the country's cultural diversity to the most varied segments of Swiss civil society and the world”, reads the document.
Although small, she added, the Angolan exhibition spot attracted the attention and curiosity of those present, especially students and professionals from the school, of various nationalities.
During the event, members of the mission informed the participants about the political, economic and social and cultural reality of the country.
The International School of Bern (ISBerne) is a private sector academic institution that offers a high quality programme that encourages students to be reflective and involved in the learning process.
With more than 275 students from at least 40 countries and staff from 12 nations, the institution is considered a truly international community.
