Luanda - Angolan artists are looking forward to the official starting of the activities of the National Festival of Culture (FENACULT), on its third edition.
Opened Wednesday by the minister of Culture and Tourism Filipe Zau, the event takes place ahead of celebrations of the centenary of the nation's founder, António Agostinho Neto.
The activities include colloquia, plastic arts exhibitions, handicrafts, documents and photographs.
There are also musical concerts, humor and poetry, film screenings, as well as the re-edition and publication of books.
Under the motto "Angolans moving hand in hand toward the Future", the National Festival of Special Culture will also hold, on November 26, the off-season Carnival called "Havemos de Voltar" we will come back.
According to the secretary general of the Carnival Association of Luanda Province, António de Oliveira “Delón”, the event will precede the 2023 Luanda Carnival, aimed at paying tribute to the greatest poet Agostinho Neto.
FENACULT aims to preserve Angolan Culture. The first edition took place in 1989 followed by the one held in 2014.
