Luanda - Angolan artists Lino Damião and Nelo Teixeira displayed Wednesday in Lisbon, Portugal, their artistic works in an showcase called "Lelu Kizua".
The title of the exhibition "Lelu Kizua" can be interpreted, in a free translation from an Angolan local language (Kimbundu), as the present day, but without forgetting the stories that both artists lived, the artists say.
With this exhibition, the artists say they intend to show that the relationship of the present is not based on nostalgia for the past, but on a certain melancholy that is intended to be placed between the various forms, figures, and characters.
The exhibition will be open until July 11th and has the co-curators João Silvério and Inês Valle.
