Lisbon - An exhibition called "Tundé ku Ginga Katé ku Mulemba", which means (From Ginga to Mulemba Xangola), by the artist Lino Damião, opened Thursday at the Anita Guerreiro Headquarters Gallery, in Lisbon, Portugal.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on the 14th of September and runs until the 30th September.
Speaking to ANGOP, Lino Damião highlights that he uses the painting on paper technique in his works, portraying the history of Angola through the geography of Luanda.
"I'm talking about queen Ginga and the route of our Luanda, from Rainha Ginga street to Mulemba Xangôla", he said.
He appealed to Lisbon residents to visit the exhibition, as it brings an interesting message.
Lino Damião was born in Luanda. He was influenced by his father to embark on the fine arts, starting with drawing and painting, having received, in 1989, the UNAP Painting Prize.
He has lived between Lisbon and Angola since 2012.
He has made more than a dozen individual samples, nine in Angola and six in Portugal, as well as participating in more than 40 group exhibitions in the cities of Porto, Lisbon, Aveiro, Odivelas and Leiria. EJM/VM/CF/NIC
