Caxito – The organization and production of the following editions of the biggest popular festival in the province of Bengo will now be on the responsibility of the Bengo provincial carnival association (APROCAB).
The information was revealed on Tuesday, during a hearing held by the governor of Bengo, Maria Nelumba, with members of the association, which served to present the new governing body of APROCAB, led by Soares Lourenço.
The association was created on July 28, 2024 with the support of the League of Carnival Associations of Angola (LACA) and the provincial office of culture, tourism, youth and sports of Bengo.
The independent union group of Kingumgo, representing the municipality of Dande, is the title holder of the last edition of the carnival, in the adult class.
In the children's class, the title holder is the carnival group Etu-Twiza from Kijão Mendes. PA/CF/DOJ
