Luanda - An exhibition of national products, such as works of art, spirits, as well as books about Angola’s history, tourism and economic potential, marked Sunday in Yokohama city (Japan) the celebrations of the 64 anniversary of the start of the Angola national liberation struggle.
According to a statement sent to ANGOP, the event was organized by the Angolan Embassy in Japan during the cultural prelude to the Tokyo Conference on African Development (TICAD-9).
Angola also organized a coffee tasting for the Japanese people and other foreign organizations.
Those present enjoyed the taste of Café de Angola and the other drinks presented in the form of cocktails and learn about the country's recent history, with emphasis on the process of liberation, peace and development, in line with the current policies of the government in its vision of diversifying the economy," reads the statement.
The event was attended by several African and Japanese exhibitors.TICAD-9 is a cultural and educational event aimed at raising awareness among Japanese citizens of the importance of cooperation and interaction with African peoples.MEL/MCN/DAN/AMP
