Luanda - Angola hosts, starting Monday, the second exhibition of resident artists from “Procultura”, taking place at the Elinga Teatro, in Luanda, curated by José Teixeira and produced by Adérito Rodrigues, from the Cultura para project All.
The event, taking place from the third to the seventh of this month, will be preceded by a press conference and a conversation between those selected. During the event, the main challenges faced and successes achieved by these artists and others from Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP) will be discussed.
Artists Renata Torres (Angola), Hilário Manhiça (Mozambique), Livigia Monteiro (Guinea-Bissau) and Mano Preto (Cape Verde) will perform at the event.
Likewise, Mozambican Mai-Júli Machado and Cape Verdeans Nuno Barreto and Rosy Timas take to the stage. Mozambican artists Nilégio Cossa and Francisca Minire, Cape Verdeans Djam Neguin and Betty Fernandes and Angolan Khristall África close the activity on Friday with a dance show and a theater play.
The international event is a showcase of creations in the areas of music, performing arts, dance and cinema, with 13 artists selected from among the 50 creators who participated in the PALOP and Timor-Leste mobility program, within the scope of Procultura.
