Luanda - Seventy-five works by fifty artists will be on display from 22 February at the National Museum of Natural History, in an initiative by artist Álvaro Macieira.
The number of works to be exhibited represents the year of National Independence and the 50 artists symbolise the 50 years since colonial liberation.
According to the artist, half of the paintings are from his collection.
The exhibition can be seen at the International Exhibition Hall of the National Museum of Natural History, in Kinaxixi, Luanda, from 5pm.
Álvaro Macieira, born in 1958 in the province of Uíge, is a journalist, writer, artist and cultural consultant.
He was Culture Editor at ANGOP, collaborated with National Radio Station (RNA), Public televisions (TPA) and the British media company BBC's Cultural Tribune.
He is a member of the Union of Angolan Writers and the National Union of Plastic Artists. CPM/ART/MRA/DOJ
