Luanda – An exhibition by visual artists Albino da Conceição and Álvaro Macieira is on display since Thursday at the National Currency Museum, in Luanda.
The exhibition is dubbed “Entre Marés e Memórias, Sinfonia de Afectos” (Between Tides and Memories, Symphony of Affections).
The combined sample includes 22 artworks, including 12 paintings and 10 sculptures, based on various figures and material resources, in which the artists seek to convey the sense of the movement of the sea, inviting visitors to navigate through memories through visual contact with the works.
When speaking at the event, Álvaro Macieira made it known that the initiative aimed to bring together the creative abilities of both artists and promote healthy and harmonious communication aimed at the Luanda society.
“This exhibition also conveys messages of unity and harmony, which we consider fundamental for good coexistence among citizens, regardless of the reasons and variety of opinions”, he highlighted.
For his part, Albino da Conceição highlighted that some of the displayed works have already been presented in international galleries, with emphasis on the “Catanas da Paz sobre o Humus da Nossa Terra”, “Raízes Ancestrais”, “Danças dos Animais em tempo de Paz” and “Angola do Musseque Viemos de 1961”.
