Lubango - Angolan actor and film producer Sílvio Nascimento was invited by the University Oxford, England, to represent Angola at the Africa Conference, scheduled for May 26th.
Sílvio Nascimento will talk about cinema and goals for its development on the African continent.
The Oxford Africa Conference is the largest event in this industry, with an African focus that has taken place in Europe in recent years, ahead of the Africa Day, May 25.
Lectures on Africa, mainly those related to Angola, Libya, South Africa, Senegal and Ethiopia, will be presented via on line and in person, according to the event’s website.
Speaking to Angop on Saturday from Lisbon where he resides, the actor said he was “honored”, because it is an important event that will cover several areas of knowledge and life that can help develop Africa.
The cultural panel will address, among other topics, making films to attract investments, cinematographic production in Africa and the real attractive scenarios the continent has for that purpose.
