Uíge – Angola’s Minister of Education, Luísa Grilo, on Monday reaffirmed that the Government's commitment to the construction and equipping of schools, training of staff and the insertion of new teachers in the educational sector.
The official, who spoke to the press in the city of Uige after the meeting with the local provincial governor, José Carvalho da Rocha, said that the government's bet aims to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the country.
Regarding the distribution of didactic material, Luísa Grilo said that, in the near future, the Ministry of Education will continue the process of distributing books to students.
On the other hand, Luísa Grilo said that it is planned to hold, at the end of this month, a public tender for the entry of new teachers.
During the three days of work visit in the province of Uíge, the minister will do the opening of schools in the municipalities of Uíge, Quitexe and Songo, as well as preside over the meeting with the agents of education in the region.
