Luanda – Angola’s Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Maria Bragança, pays a two-day working visit to Brazil, as part of strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
According to a press release sent to ANGOP today, on the first day of the visit, minister Maria Bragança held a courtesy meeting with the Angolan ambassador to Brazil, Manuel Bravo, and visited the Brasília University Hospital.
The government official will meet with the Brazilian ministers of Science, Technology and Innovation, Luciana Santos, and of Education, Camilo Santana.
Maria Bragança, who has been in Brazil since last Sunday, is accompanied by officials from the Angolan Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESCTI).
MESCTI is the auxiliary ministerial department of the President of the Republic, as Holder of the Executive Branch.
The aforementioned ministry is responsible for conceiving, formulating, executing, monitoring, inspecting and evaluating the Government's public policies and sectoral programs in the fields of higher education, science, technology and innovation, in light of Presidential Decree nº 26/18, of 1 February.
