Talatona- The secretary of State for Higher Education, Eugénio Silva, recommended Monday the improvement of teaching staff and laboratories of the Bita Higher Technological Institute in Luanda.
The secretary of State, who headed a multisectoral delegation that visited the Bita Higher Education Technological Institute, beginning Monday a programme of visits to private higher education institutions (IES), said that despite the criticisms, the institution complies with legislation.
The minister recommended the improvement of the academic tools to meet the demands of the curricular plan in terms of equipment and didactic resources to allow students to carry out practical activities and ensure future graduates with practical knowledge and skills.
The minister explained that the Higher Education Ministry is with the IES, with the aim to supervise the degree of compliance of the legal norms that regulate the higher education subsystem to provide technical and methodological support offering courses, graduation, specialization, masters degree and doctorate.
The Higher Polytechnic Institute of Bita has been operating for three years with five courses in psychology, management, law, health and engineering. It has 1,000 students enrolled including scholarship holders from the National Youth Council and the Anglican church.
