Soyo – The Municipal Administration of Soyo, Zaire province, applied from January to December last year, 30 million Kwanzas, for the distribution of school meals to 257 students of four primary schools.
Students from the villages of Kiela, Pângala, Wonde-Tari and Mpozo, communes of Pedra de Feitiço, Sumba and Quêlo, respectively, are the benefited ones.
The data was disclosed by the head of the Studies, Planning and Statistics Office (GEPE) of the Municipal Administration, Castro Malundo, during an assessment to the Integrated Local Development and Poverty Combat Programs (PIDLCP) and Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM).
According to the official, who was speaking at the Community Hearing Council meeting, the snacks were made based on locally produced products.
Participants at the meeting learnt that from January to December 2023, Soyo carried out 22 actions of the 25 planned, within the scope of the PIDLCP, budgeted at 234 million kwanzas, representing a degree of physical and financial execution in the order of 69,65%.
The PIDLCP encompasses 11 strategic axes, of which eight have already been implemented providing school meals, actions to support citizenship, administrative expenses, the promotion of agriculture, livestock and fisheries, the construction and rehabilitation of social infrastructures, among others.
