Luanda – At least 1006 schools will receive technological equipment (computers and internet) from 2025 onwards to facilitate the teaching and learning process, the Minister of Education, Luísa Grilo, announced Wednesday in Luanda.
Speaking at the international symposium on educational assessment, running under the motto "thousand paths, one route and multiple learning”, the minister said the Ministry is introducing digitalization into the education system.
According to the minister, the use of technology in Angolan primary education is still ephemeral, but there are efforts to reverse this situation and with the implementation of technology in schools, pupils will be able to handle computers and increase their knowledge in various areas.
The minister stressed the commitment to exploring and deepening the discussion on education indicators, taking into account that educational evaluation is a fundamental and urgent issue for building an education and teaching system.
The symposium is a space for reflection on the role that external assessment plays in formulating public policies, its impact on student learning, the challenges faced and feasibility in the Angolan context, with a view to implementing a National Evaluation System. AB/OHA/AMP
