Ramiros – The Minister of Education, Luísa Grilo, stated Thursday in Luanda that, the sector she chairs, will continue to focus on training programs, updating knowledge and improving new teaching skills.
The minister was speaking during the opening of a training session on the Methodology for the Integration of Curricular Knowledge in the III Learning Cycle, which runs until September 6, at the Polytechnic Institute of Fisheries “CEFOPESCAS”, in the urban district of Ramiros, municipality of Belas (in Luanda), with the participation of 288 teachers.
According to Luísa Grilo, the new teaching model and the respective curricular proposal follow a reference framework based on the principles and foundations of progressive pedagogical trends, socio-constructivist learning theory, curricular integration, and the promotion of close relationship between universal and local knowledge, based on active and participatory methodologies.
“Learning promotes interaction between work content in the classroom and the students’ prior knowledge in different areas of knowledge, which, when well articulated, will be fundamental for the development and significant learning of children”, she highlighted.
The training action is a pilot project promoted by the national training institute for Education Staff (INFQE) and will be implemented in 144 schools in the country's 18 provinces.
