Talatona - At least 150 young people, 84 men and 66 women, have completed in Luanda the first edition of the training program for future diplomats at the Venâncio de Moura Academy, with the aim of training young people to act on the national and international diplomatic scene.
The three-month course was aimed at university students, especially in the fields of international relations and social sciences.
Participants received training in contemporary, economic and environmental diplomacy, international economics and trade, mediation and conflict resolution.
The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonça, attended the certificate ceremony and highlighted the importance of the program, emphasizing that the initiative reflects the Angolan government's commitment to preparing a new generation of qualified professionals to meet the challenges of global diplomacy.
Esmeralda Mendonça also expressed her satisfaction with the gender balance among the participants, considering it an important step forward and part of the program's alignment with international standards and norms.
"The future demands that you continue to raise the good name of Angola. Don't stop here, go on, invest in knowledge", said the Secretary of State.
