Paris - The French Republic this Thursday expressed its interest in developing a partnership with the Republic of Angola in the field of school twinning.
The intention was made public by the Director of the France Éducation International Agency during the visit that the Angolan Ministry of Education, Luísa Grilo made to the agency´s facilities located at the Centre international d’études pédagogiques (CIEP) in Sevres commune, attached to the French Ministry of Education.
Cooperation will open up opportunities for exchanges between Angolan and French teachers, students and school managers in the fields of languages, as well as, probably pedagogical supervision and guidance of the education system.
At the time, Luísa Grilo spoke about the cooperation projects underway in the country, such as the Eiffel high schools, the Agricultural and Rural Training Project (PAFAR), as well as support for the development of French language teaching, and was satisfied with the state of their implementation.
The minister of Education is looking forward to the start of construction of two Eiffel high schools in the provinces of Huambo and Moxico, with the support of the French multinational Total Energies SE.
Luísa Grilo is in Paris to take part in the 42nd Session of the Unesco General Conference, and was accompanied by the secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonça, and the Angolan Ambassador to France, Guilhermina Prata.
