Luanda - Primary school pupils (initiation, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades) are set to return to schools this Wednesday, as a result of the gradual return of classes.
Suspended since March 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic, with the resumption of classes in primary education, it closes the cycle of the timetable established by the Government, through the Ministry of Education (MED).
As part of the return to school, educational establishments have been obliged to create the conditions for physical distancing among pupils and between pupils and the teacher, which may in no case be less than 1.5 m (one and a half metres), as well as the compulsory wearing of face masks inside the educational establishment.
The return to primary school was scheduled for 26 October 2020 and was delayed at the time due to the increase in positive cases in the country.
Under this timetable, drawn up by the government, classes resumed on 5 October in the transition classes (6th, 9th, 12th and 13th grades).
In primary and I Cycle secondary education, the classes last 02h30, while in II Cycle secondary education, the classes last 03h30.
