Luanda – A sum of 603 thousand internal scholarships have been awarded, since 2017, by the National Youth Council (CNJ), aimed at training national staff in different areas, the organization's chairman, Isaías Kalunga, said on Thursday in Luanda.
Speaking to the press, at the end of a visit to Kangonjo Higher Institute of Angola, International Polytechnic Institute of Angola (ISIA) and the University of Belas, Isaías Kalunga said that the scholarships were awarded in the 18 provinces of the country, within the scope of agreements signed between the institution and several public and private universities.
According to CNJ's leader, most of these scholarship holders have already finished their studies, while others might complete them in the next academic year (20224/2025).
“We are satisfied with the implementation of this program, which is why we expect, for the next academic year, to award around eight thousand scholarships, some of which will be reimbursed, based on the adhesion and selection criteria”, he highlighted.
Regarding the visits, he made it known that CNJ seeks to strengthen cooperation ties in these higher education institutions.
Created in 2008, CNJ is a platform that brings together the main youth organizations and is made up of civil society associations and the youth arms of Angolan political parties.
