Cabinda - The governor of northern Cabinda province, Marcos Alexandre Nhunga, Monday, stressed the advances that the Education sector has registered in the last few years in the province, with the construction of several infrastructures for teaching and accommodation of teachers.
According to the governor, three hundred and fifty six (356) new schools, which correspond to 1,552 classrooms, were built in the last four years, in Cabinda province.
Speaking on Monday, Educator's Day, Governor Nhunga also pointed out the human resources in the sector, which has 5,746 employees, 5,033 of whom are teachers and 713 administrative staff.
For Marcos Nhunga, the existing infrastructures show the will and the action of the Government for a better education at the basic levels, I and II cycles of secondary school, in the communal and municipal headquarters.
The governor announced that, at the level of the II cycle schools, in the municipal headquarters, an increase of 116 more classrooms is expected in 2022, under the scope of PIIM and other projects, which will benefit 15,795 pupils.
