Catabola - More than five hundred primary school teachers are being trained in methods and techniques of teaching and learning process, in the municipality of Catabola, in the province of Bié, within the scope of the Learning for All Project (PAT).
The teachers selected from more than 40 schools, from 10 Zones of Pedagogical Influence (ZIP), for four days will analyze topics such violence during class, structured pedagogy in classrooms, good presentation and teacher procedures at school, among others.
The municipal director of education, Henriques Elavoco, who opened the ceremony, said that from the training he expects the effort of teachers' skills to carry out their duties in the 2024/2025 academic year, in order to improve the quality of student learning.
PAT is run by the Ministry of Education (MED) in partnership with the World Bank (WB) and aims to improve teachers' knowledge and skills, school management and develop a student assessment system.
Catabola's education sector controls 1,305 teachers, who work in 84 schools, with a total of 912 classrooms.
In the last academic year, more than 60,000 students studied in the various education subsystems. BAN/MS/DOJ
