Luanda – Angolan Government announced plans to resume classes in Primary Education, as from February 10.
Primary pupils face closed schools since March 2020, due to covid-19
The decision was announcement Monday by Minister of State and Head of Security Office to the President of the Republic, Pedro Sebastião.
He announced the measures of the new Presidential Decree on the Situation of Public Disaster, after assessing the epidemiological situation in the country, stressing that rules such as social distancing and use of face masks remain mandatory.
He said that the Government has decided to resume activities in transition classes of primary education, which cover 1st, 2nd , 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.
The new Decree exempts teachers and students with chronic diseases from in-person classes.
