Lubango – A total of 835,103 is the expected number of Students to attend the 2024-25 academic year in Huíla, whose application process begins on the 19th of this month in all municipalities in the province.
Compared to the same previous period, there is an increase of 46,509 students, due to the investments in classrooms built by the government within the scope of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM).
According to a report from the provincial education office sent to Angop on Wednesday, the figures are: 84.732 (increase of 4,035) are initiation students; 546.049 (increase of 30.908) in primary education, 126.184 (increase of 7.144) in I and II cycles, respectively and 29,296 (increase of 1,658) from adult education, totaling 835,103 students overall.
The same note states that classes will be taught by 19,110 teachers in all education subsystems and 1,135 schools are available, corresponding to more than 7,000 classrooms.
