Luanda – the Angolan minister of education, Luísa Grilo, assessed this Thursday the cooperation with Portugal, in a meeting with the European country’s Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Francisco André.
The project “SABER MAIS” (Learn More) was also debated at the meeting: The project’s implementation will become official with the signature of the bilateral agreement this Friday, in Luanda.
The Portuguese Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation mentioned that the agreement is one of the biggest bilateral cooperation projects between both countries, whose results are positive.
In her turn, the minister of Education, Luisa Grilo, stressed that the project “SABER MAIS” runs its third phase and covers the province of Luanda and Bié.
Luísa Grilo affirmed that the goal is to update teachers’ knowledge, within the training of trainer’s process in Portuguese Language, mathematics, and special needs education.
The programme also included support for the revitalization of inspection and pedagogical supervision and in the field of apprenticeships, stressed the minister.
“Angola works on the implementation of national exams and hopes to count on the support of Portugal, taking into account the experience it has in this field”, emphasized Luisa Grilo.
