Luena – Around 40 companies from the Republic of Zambia expressed their intention to establish business partnerships and invest in the Angola’s eastern province of Moxico.
This was announced by delegate of the business group in that country, Esther Chisenga, on Wednesday in Luena, Moxico province.
The delegate was speaking during the Business Opportunities Forum between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moxico and Zambia.
Among the priorities, Esther mentioned the agricultural, mining and education sectors, through the creation of an online center.
The delegate said to expect the Chamber of Commerce and the local government to identify and facilitate the legal procedures for the implementation of companies from his country in the province of Moxico.
The chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Moxico, Agrione Manuel, said that the action of Zambian companies in the province involves a set of concrete strategies by the local government.
According to the official, the economic strategies, between lectures and fairs, carried out by the provincial government of Moxico, unfortunately, have little impact.
He defended the creation of policies such as the ease of handling commercial and industrial documents, land transfer, technical conditions and others, to attract foreign and national entrepreneurs.
He still defended the creation of convergence points between businesspeople from Moxico province and Zambia, along with the contacts and willingness to cooperate between the two organisations.
Agrione Manuel discribed Zambia as one of the important points to gather development experiences, both in the agriculture sector and in the provision of services.
The first forum between the two institutions was filled with the demonstration of the economic, social and cultural potential of the two countries, through video exhibitions.
