Talatona - The secretary of State for Oil and Gas, José Alexandre Barroso, on Thursday in Luanda Province said that the 5th Conference is an opportunity for dialogue to attract private investment and the implementation of several projects.
Speaking to the press, on the sidelines of the mentioned event, which ended this Thursday, he revealed that it was an excellent opportunity, and was also an event for banks and companies to understand each other.
He said that the government will promote dialogue so that business and financial institutions can meet at the discussion table, with the aim that the conditions created achieve a good result.
Still on this path, the secretary of State stated that there are difficulties in fully implementing local content, although some companies are already taking steps to value Angolan staff through professional internships and their integration.
“The integration of young people in the oil industry is a joint effort by the government, operating companies and service providers, that is a set of joint actions that will lead to the maximization of young cadres”, he said.
With the theme "Innovation and Sustainability in Angola's Energy Sector", the second day of the conference presented with specific technical discussion for areas such as finance, investments and sharing industry knowledge.
The gathering featured lectures and panels that covered topics such as “Navigating to the Future: Women in Leadership in the Evolution of Oil and Gas in Angola” and “Empowering Angolan Talent: Local Content Strategies to Unlock Human Capital”.
The event brought together more than 200 participants, including businesspeople, investors and experts from 45 countries and 68 companies.
