Uíge – The province of Uíge has 29 products registered with the “Made in Angola” seal, since 2023, mostly food, the head of department of the National Institute for Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM) in the region, Alfredo Sassa, told Angop Monday.
Alfredo Sassa said that the initiative was implemented by 10 companies from various sectors, within the framework of the Executive's strategies to stimulate national production and reduce imports.
Alfredo Sassa explained that, of the total number of micro and small companies that adhered to the “Made in Angola” seal, seven are from the processing sector, one from agriculture and two from aquaculture.
Among the products with the “Made in Angola” seal, mattresses, biscuits, fish, pineapples, food, coffee, wallets, doors, tables, sawn wood, among others, stand out.
To join the service, the person in charge said it is necessary to have the company's headquarters in Angola, obtain a commercial license, commercial certificate of tax compliance from AGT and contributory certificate from INSS. “Once the “Made in Angola” seal is acquired, renewable annually, the company will be registered on the INAPEM platform, participation in events to promote national production, among other benefits,” he said.
The seal made in Angola was restructured in light of Presidential Decree nº 160/22, of 17 June, and is being operated by INAPEM. EPP/JAR/DOJ
