Luanda - Angola’s exports to India reached at about 4 billion US dollars in 2022, compared to 2021 there was an increase of about 1 billion dollars.
The statistics were released by India's ambassador to Angola, Pratibha Parkar, who said that most of the country’s export volume was the oil.
India imports 90% of this product from Angola, the diplomat told the press on the sidelines of India-Angola business exchange held Monday in Luanda.
He said his country exports to Angola about USD 6 billion in different products, such as medicines and agricultural inputs.
The ambassador said to expect that the countries expand their bilateral economic cooperation to other fields to attract more business people in Angola as well as opening opportunities for Angolan businesspeople to invest in India.
The Chairman of the Angolan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIA), Vicente Soares, defended the need to increase the two nations' potential.
India and Angola Business Exchange gathered 18 Indian business people and 77 Angolan investors who shared experience and focused on trade partnerships.
India established diplomatic relations with Angola in 1985 and has maintained cordial relations ever since.
