Zango - Angola and Türkiye trade reached 2 million US dollars in 2023, especially in the agriculture and industry sectors, the head of the Angola-Türkiye Chamber of Commerce Sérgio Conceição told ANGOP Friday.
Sérgio Conceição said that as part of the cooperation, 500 jobs for locals have been created over the past year and 115 for expatriates, adding that in the near future will seek to achieve roughly 500 million dollars in diversified trade, with emphasis on the agricultural, textile, mining, education and construction sectors.
He added that this year is expected to be increasingly attractive and bring more investors to Angola, given the country's diverse potential.
Sérgio Conceição stressed that the reduction in imports could balance the balance of payments that will enable the country to be less dependent on oil, although this is a process that requires time.
Angola-Türkiye Chamber will be holding a forum this year, for Turkish businesspeople to learn more about the great business opportunities that Angola has.
