Luanda - Luanda-based TEXTANG II textile manufacturing unit put its manufacturing capacity at 250,000 meters of fabric on monthly basis, after 80 days since it kicked off.
The data were released by the company’s CEO Jorge Amaral, while speaking to journalists on Tuesday, at the end of a visit to the factory by minister of Industry and Trade, Victor Fernandes.
He said that the factory is under a gradual process to resume its activities, pledging that in coming 90 days a full shift of 370 technicians will secure the operation.
After achieving this stage, he said, the unit will have a monthly production of 900,000 meter of textile, attaining maximum capacity.
“ Until the end of the year the company will be secured by two shifts - 740 workers – in order to reach the double of the production”, he predicted.
