Luanda - TAAG -Linhas Aéreas de Angola, receives today, Monday, the fifth of the six aircraft of the Dash 8-400 type, bought from the manufacturer "De Havillande of Canada Limited", ANGOP learnt today.
It is an aircraft with capacity to carry 74 passengers, of which 64 in economy class and 10 in executive class.
With the arrival of this aircraft, named after "Cunhinga", only one aircraft will be missing and it is expected to arrive in the country still this year.
Similarly to the first four aircraft, this one will essentially serve domestic and regional routes.
The new aircraft, like the first four, has a flight autonomy of 6 hours, can fly up to 2,500 metres above sea level and can reach a speed of 700 km/hour.
Its noise pollution level is the lowest possible in the industry, being in the 93.1 EPNdB (noise measurement) range, and it has low fuel consumption.
Thus, the company will be able to reduce operating costs by using these aircraft which have lower operating costs than Boeing 737-700s.
