Sonagas plans to reach 80% of gas supply by 2025

Luanda – The Sonagas Executive Director, Manuel Barroso has said that the subsidiary of the state owned oil company Sonangol for the distribution of butane gas, plans to extend the coverage of the supply of this product from 55% to 80% countrywide.

Manuel Barroso was speaking to ANGOP, during the conference on Technologies and Services in the Oil Industry, having said that in order to achieve this goal, it will be necessary to produce 300 million cubic feet of natural gas, taking into account the demand and current dynamics.

 

He also said that the production and distribution of this product continues to proceed without constraints. 

 

Manuel Barroso also said that Sonangol, through Sonagas, has been undertaking projects aimed at promoting renewable energy, taking into account the country's potential to cover the national and international market.
