Luanda - More than five hundred thousand users have been sensitized, from 2022 to the present date, on the safe use of digital means of payment, in the provinces of Luanda and Benguela, the Interbank Services Company (EMIS) informed in a press release.

Awareness takes place within the scope of the 'Digital Citizen' project, developed in shopping centres, markets, public, private, educational institutions, as well as on the streets, with the aim of transmitting reliable practices of use and ways to avoid possible 'threats' that people face on digital platforms.

'The Angolan financial system has been evolving towards being an increasingly digital and less face-to-face banking, so greater security and reliability of computer resources is needed,' says the EMIS document to which ANGOP had access.

Of a national nature, the 'Digital Citizen' project aims to cover, in a phased manner, all provinces of the country, with the third stage expected to take place soon in Huambo. The same is implemented by the company The Bridge Global. VC/DOJ
