Luanda – The second phase of the electronic auction of vehicles and boats seized by the court order and held Sunday (13) yielded AKz 745.53 million of the expected 1.32 billion.
The process is part of the State Asset Recovery process (SENRA), said the national director of the Asset Recovery Service of the Attorney General's Office, Eduarda Rodrigues.
The official, who was speaking to the State-run Jornal de Angola (Angola Newspaper), said 29 of the 33 cars submitted to the tender were sold in this second phase.
Some 1,198 candidates participated in the auction held over 527 bids on the electronic platform of the General Tax Administration (AGT).
The third auction, according to Eduarda Rodrigues, is scheduled for the 20 August, with an offer of 42 vehicles that will be added to those vehicles not sold in the first phase.
In total, there are 108 vehicles and three boats seized, as part of the judicially authorised asset recovery processes, which are being auctioned to prevent the deterioration of the said means.
The national director of the Asset Recovery Service of PGR said that the participants of the first phase of the auction are fulfilling the payment process. NE
