Cabinda - Sécil Marítima increased travel frequencies since the beginning of the last week on the Cabinda/Soyo route, to meet demand during the festive season, the provincial secretary of Transport, António Custódio, said Saturday.

He was speaking at the end of a meeting of the Provincial Commission to Ensure safety festive season, led by the vice-governor of Cabinda for the Political and Social sector, Miguel de Oliveira.

He informed that, currently, the catamaran is making six frequencies per week, against the usual three, transporting a certain number of passengers from Cabinda to Soyo and vice versa.

The same is happening on the Cabinda/Luanda route and vice versa, to reduce the flow of passengers at the local maritime terminal.

Regarding TAAG flights, the provincial secretary of Transport said that four services are operated daily, connecting Dr. António Agostinho Neto international airport and Maria Mambu Café airport in Cabinda.

Regarding internal circulation, he informed that 20 public buses are available to transport citizens, before, during and after the festive season.

The province of Cabinda, located in the north region of Angola, has an estimated population of more than 800,000 inhabitants, spread across four municipalities namely Belize, Cacongo, Buco-Zau, as well as the municipality seat. ING/JFC/JL/MRA/DOJ
